Weclapp vs. Odoo: the structural differences
The essential difference lies less in the range of functions than in the architecture. Odoo is modular: sales, purchasing, inventory, manufacturing, accounting, CRM, helpdesk, projects and website work on a common data basis. What requires an interface in separate systems is here a relationship between records.

The second difference is customisability. Odoo can be extended at the process level without losing the ability to update – provided that customisations remain close to the standard. Being honest is part of it: Odoo is not a self-starter. A switch is worthwhile when process complexity and integration needs are genuinely present – not as an end in itself.
This is how the migration from Weclapp to Odoo works
Once the decision is made, the system question becomes a data migration project. We rely on an API-based migration engine that comes from real customer projects and works with Odoo 17, 18, and 19 – on Odoo Online, Odoo.sh, and On-Premise. The process is divided into four steps:
1. Connect
Enter Weclapp URL and API token, connection test confirms access.
2. Select and map
Select resource groups and assign fields without code – including custom fields.
3. Migrate
The transfer runs in batches in the background and in the correct dependency order: accounting and units first, then contacts, products, orders, and invoices.
4. Check
Live status and error logs show exactly what has been transferred. Missing batches can be pulled in – the imports are idempotent, so repeated runs do not create duplicates.
Master data, sales and purchase documents, subscriptions, invoices, CRM leads, helpdesk tickets, as well as documents and attachments will be transferred. Migration is not a permanent sync
A Weclapp-Odoo migration is a one-sided process. After the cutover, Odoo is the leading system – it is not a permanent two-way synchronisation.
